Big custom project to finish off 2025!

The home, near Dundas and Ossington, once had 2 original stained glass windows from the late 1800’s that became non functional, and discarded 25 years ago

The homeowner wanted to bring the old windows back to life as a Christmas gift for his wife, and wished to incorporate similar painted bird centerpieces from the original windows. I worked with Bernard Glassworks, who painted these beautiful bird glass pieces that I could incorporate in the windows

The shape of this window was a little difficult to bring to life, but I welcome the challenge. Install coming soon!

These matching Art Deco pieces installed, nicely accenting the living room of this home north of High Park

This project means a lot to me with the windows being installed in a home a few streets over from where I live. I’ve had a vision since starting this craft of seeing my work in my neighborhood when I’m out for a walk. So achieving this is very cool moment for me

Just finished these matching 18×23, Art Deco–inspired stained glass windows for a home in High Park

These windows were designed to complement existing leaded windows in the home, as well as the interior, a modern space with vintage character

I was able to incorporate some 100+ year old glass into the windows as well, which I salvaged from a restoration project, so these windows will bring forward a little bit of the past

Install coming soon

When this beautiful 35x28 leaded window came to me from a Rosedale home, several glass pieces were cracked in tricky spots, the steel reinforcement bar had completely separated from the window and took the lead with it. The window was structurally weak and the lead across the piece was brittle and breaking

Once I began dismantling it to replace the broken glass and lead, even more of the old lead gave out, so I ended up releading much of the perimeter and the center of the panel. Fortunately, most of the leaf details were still solid and didn’t require too much attention

Restoring this piece took time, a lot patience, but being able to work on a grandiose piece like this was a great learning experience

This 31x18 restoration complete and installed!

This beautiful window was brought back to life after over 100 years of wear and tear. The old lead had begun to break down, allowing cold drafts to creep in and drive up energy costs for the home, and the wooden frame was peeling and in need of some care

The panel was fully re-leaded, both sides of the window frame were restored, and a protective exterior layer of glass was added to provide an extra insulation to the home for those chilly Canadian winters

Had the pleasure of restoring this 31x18 window originally made in the 1910’s!

Luckily most of the glass was in great condition, but the window needed an entirely new lead. I took apart the window, threw out the old lead and started from scratch

Loved getting more practice with those deeper curved lines. Definitely one of my favourite projects I’ve done to date. Can’t wait to see it re-installed!
