What if we stop trying to fit ourselves into the world as it is and start imagining the world we want to live in.

Be a good friend to yourself, be kind to yourself and give yourself a break. ❤️

I have a dear friend who is a great listener, but lately their words are hurtful and bring me down. I value our friendship, but I cannot let them use free space in my head.
Your time and energy is valuable. Choose what gets your attention.

I can't handle the crap going on. Business is hard. The competition will sell their mother to get a sale. They don't care about working hard to develop strong business relationships. I wonder why I work so hard when others dont give a sh... Yep that's what I'm saying. Can I get an F.... can I get a BS...

Finding peace one breath at a time.
Today I was listening to self improvement podcasts hoping to eliminate some anxiety and it made me think, what if instead of worrying I spend that time working on resolving a problem. I know I'm not one of those lucky people that can turn that switch on and off that easily, so I put a reminder on my phone and my computer and when I see it, it helps me pause and refocus from feeling anxious. Seeing the reminder motivates me and helps change my mindset. I get moving, play with the pets, go to the grocery store or call a friend. As I focus on these simple actions my mind starts to clear and I realize things are not as bad as I thought. I shift my mindset from anxiety to solutions and positive thoughts. I feel more in control. I realize that I am going to be successful and achieve my goals. By staying focused I know that I will be able to create the life I want and need.

Tonight I decided to cash out on the long weekend and went to see the Two Asians comedy show at a pub. What a hoot! Laughter is the best medicine. And my Return on Investment (ROI) in good times is paying high dividends. Take a break and treat yourself. #

Chapter 1
Things started to fall apart during Covid when mom passed away and several months later I lost my sister too. I was very overweight, lost and couldn't even focus. I knew I was heading for real trouble if I didn't do something so I went on-line to look for support and joined a gym. Little did I know how strong I really am.

This year I have put on 22 lbs in 6 months. Lets just says the weight gain has been a wake up call, or more like a wake up and look in the mirror call...and I decided to get back on track. Fortunately, I happen to be one of those people that enjoys the gym while others enjoy walking or biking. Now that I am back, I am experiencing improved health, appearance, higher energy levels, a more positive outlook on life and pride in myself. The endorphines are at their finest when I leave the gym.
