Looking for easy and nourishing meal ideas? Tacos are a great option. You can prepare the fillings ahead of time and simply assemble everything at mealtime—perfect for busy weeknights.

One of my favourites is Whitefish Tacos a recipe from Canada’s Food Guide. It’s a simple, flavour-packed recipe and a great way to enjoy fish more often.

Taco night is also a fun way to involve kids in the kitchen. Set out the fillings and toppings and let everyone build their own—simple or creative.

Dietitian’s tips:
• Try to include fish more often during the week.
• Use low-fat Greek yogurt in sauces or toppings for an easy protein boost.
• Pile on the veggies—shredded cabbage and carrots, peppers, tomatoes, or avocado all work beautifully.

👀 A few raisins or dried cranberries for eyes & nose

As you eat today, try using your five senses — notice the colours, shapes, aromas, textures, and flavours. That’s mindful eating, and it can help meals feel more satisfying and enjoyable.
