Lynds was founded in 1983 as a small distributor of fasteners to the heavy truck industry and Provincial DOT branches in Nova Scotia. Originally located in the Central Equipment building on the Lower Truro Road in Truro, Nova Scotia the Company grew quickly because of a reputation for excellent service and extensive stock levels. After only a few years the company had outgrown its original locatio

n and moved to its current location at 91 Polymer Road in the Truro Industrial Park. The building has gone through three expansions and now has 12,000 sq. From this location the business services both large and small industrial and Government accounts in mainland Nova Scotia, Cape Breton, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. In 2011, E. Lynds was purchased by Casey Concrete in partnership with Bob Brown, the current General Manager. This purchase has provided E Lynds with a solid corporate backing and renewed emphasis on growth and business development. Since the new ownership Lynds has installed a new Inventory Management and POS system to manage the 25,000 product SKU's carried in stock. This system allows E Lynds to provide improved service to their customers and to be prepared for the new growth opportunities ahead. Lynds has grown from 8 to a staff of 14 with over 50% growth in sales over the last 4 years. We have 4 sales people covering the Maritimes who provide VMI services to existing over 800 accounts and develop new business. Lynds currently services accounts in the Truck repair, welding, heavy equipment, automotive, forestry, mining and manufacturing industries in the Maritimes. Lynds carries the widest in-stock selection of Fasteners in the Maritimes and is the largest distributor for one of Canada's oldest fastener suppliers, H Paulin. In addition to both standard and metric fasteners we offer an extensive range of Welding supplies, Power Tools, Safety Supplies, Chemicals and Paints, Cutting Tools, Work wear, Chain and Lifting and Rigging Equipment. Our list of products includes such well recognized brands as, Makita, OLFA, 3M, Loctite, Rust-oleum paints, Flexovit & Walter Abrasives, Irwin Tools and Fairview Fittings to name a but a few. The Casey Group and New Managing Partner bring with them over 50 years in business experience and an extensive network of business partners and clientele. As part of the Casey Group of Companies, E. Lynds joins an established group of well managed local Maritime based companies such as Casey Concrete, Casey- Metro Ltd., Amherst Auto (NAPA) and Scotia Self Storage. Inventory
Current inventory levels are in excess of $1,100,000 and over 27,000 SKU's. This stock level means high order fill rates and availability of non-standard items. Since the takeover in 2011 EL has focused on establishing supplier relationships that have doubled the range of products available at lower costs by setting up more direct supplier purchasing and membership in buying groups. Just want to let everyone know of an error on two of our Milwaukee flyers.

-On the Innovation Tour flyer, the picture of the free extended capacity XC6.0 battery is of a high output XC5.0. The battery you can get when you spend $600 is the XC6.0 Extended Capacity M12 battery.

-On the June BOGO flyer the picture of the 2631-20 circular saw shows a Fuel tool. The free bare tool is NOT a Fuel.
