Our biggest earth work job to date is under way!
We're currently digging out for footings at the new Eel Brook Fire Hall. While it is just footings right now, we will be doing the complete site grading, parking lots, septic system and landscaping.

Eel Lake Excavation is a new earthwork company based in Southwest Nova Scotia. The company shall be managed by Laurie Shaw. Laurie has recently retired from the RCMP and has decided to return to the construction industry to do what he has wanted to do for years: operating heavy equipment. Laurie has logged many hours in various machines prior to his years as an RCMP.

We provide all types of earthworks, trucking gravel and fills, demolition, land clearing, driveway installation, screened top-soil and soon to be certified for on site sewage disposal system installation and dug well installation. Residential or Commercial work shall be undertaken.

Eel Lake Excavation has a 3.5-ton, 8.5-ton and a 16-ton excavator. The company has also recently purchased a like new Volvo tandem dump truck and a new galvanized 20-ton float.

Work completed by Eel Lake Excavation shall be supported by Professional Engineering to ensure professional results in handling of various soils, compaction etc.

Free estimates are offered for all types of earthworks by using modern computer software for precise quantity takeoffs.
