As I go through life, I’ve realized that some of the biggest challenges I’ve faced were not always about money, work, or circumstances. Sometimes, the hardest challenges were the ones that happened in my heart.
There were times when I was hurt, disappointed, misunderstood, or taken for granted. There were moments when I asked myself, “𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒅𝒊𝒅 𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒈𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔?”
I felt anger, sadness, and disappointment, and sometimes I wanted to close my heart just to protect myself from being hurt again.
But as I continue practicing Heart Magic, I’m learning that I don’t have to let difficult experiences change the kind of person I am.
Gratitude has taught me to look at things differently.
Instead of staying focused on the people who hurt me, I try to be grateful for the people who genuinely love, support, and appreciate me. Instead of holding on to anger, I remind myself of all the beautiful people and experiences God has placed in my life. And instead of asking only “𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒅𝒊𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒆? ", I’ve learned to ask, “𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔?”
I’ve also learned that having a grateful heart doesn’t mean I have to keep everyone in my life. I can forgive someone and still choose distance. I can love people while also learning to set boundaries. I can understand that everyone has their own struggles without allowing their actions to disturb my peace.
That has been a very important lesson for me.
Gratitude has helped me become more careful about what I allow to stay in my heart. I don’t want to carry anger, resentment, or bitterness everywhere I go. Life is too precious, and my heart deserves to have room for love, peace, joy, and the people who truly matter.
When challenges come, I still have feelings. I still get hurt. I still have moments when I don’t understand why certain things happen. But gratitude gives me a different choice—it reminds me to pause, breathe, pray, and look for the blessing or lesson hidden within the experience.
I’m grateful for the difficult people who taught me discernment.
I’m grateful for the painful experiences that taught me strength.
I’m grateful for the disappointments that taught me to value genuine relationships.
And I’m grateful for every experience that brought me closer to God.
I don’t want my heart to become hard because of the things I’ve been through. I want it to become wiser, stronger, but still kind.
That, for me, is the beauty of Heart Magic.
It is choosing gratitude even when my heart has been hurt. It is choosing forgiveness instead of carrying resentment. It is choosing peace instead of constantly looking back. And it is trusting God enough to know that He sees what I cannot see and understands what I cannot understand.
Today, I’m grateful for everything that has shaped my heart—not only the beautiful moments, but also the difficult ones. Because every experience has helped me become the woman I am today.
And above everything, I’m grateful that through every challenge, God continues to teach me how to love, how to forgive, how to let go, and how to keep moving forward with a grateful heart.
Thank You, Lord, for protecting my heart, strengthening my heart, and teaching my heart to choose gratitude. 🙏❤️
All glory belongs to You.
