πŸ† Safety Recognition Award

In recognition of his dedication to workplace safety, Adam Ruben, Core Cutter with B2Gold Nunavut's Exploration team, was presented with a safety appreciation jacket and ball cap by Darren Parry, Health and Safety Manager, Global Operations.

Adam consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to safety by following safe work practices, completing required safety documentation, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Earlier this year, he also took the initiative to clear an emergency exit that had been missed while the building was not in use.

Following a recommendation from Exploration Safety Supervisor Mario Chartrand, Adam was recognized for his positive contribution to the site's safety culture.

Congratulations, Adam, on this well-deserved recognition from the entire exploration team!

Between August 12 and 17, B2Gold Nunavut successfully completed comprehensive spill response training at the Allen Kapolak Marine Laydown Area, reinforcing operational readiness for potential marine incidents.

The program combined classroom learning with hands-on field exercises, including the rapid deployment of 450 feet of floating oil boom and an oil-water skimmer. Training concluded with a live mock drill, where participants successfully established an Incident Command Post and deployed containment equipment well within required response times.

This year, we were pleased to welcome neighbours from Qingaut (Bathurst Inlet) and Umingmaktok (Bay Chimo) to take part in the training. Quana for joining us and helping strengthen our shared commitment to environmental stewardship and preparedness.
