I am so very privileged to be a mother thanks to my lovely daughter.

It’s hard to imagine a world where Archbishop Desmond Tutu doesn’t exist.

The very fate of African and world history has been shaped by the actions and words of this South African anti-apartheid hero.

On this day December 26, 2021 we lost a giant of a man with the gentlest soul and relentless courage.

Archbishop Desmond Mpilo Tutu was an anti-apartheid and human rights activist. He was the first man of African descent to hold the position of Bishop of Johannesburg from 1985 to 1986 and Archbishop of Cape Town from 1986 to 1996.

He was awarded the Nobel Peace price in 1984 for his contribution towards not only ending apartheid but being a beacon for hope and reconciliation.

He received many awards for his work including the Gandhi Peace Prize in 2007 and the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Obama in 2009.

“If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.”

Well we made it - finally and managed to move homes during a heat wave!⁠ 🔥🔥🔥⁠

To add the cherry on top, we moved into our new home as . ⁠🏠⁠

This has been a six year journey to what I once that was impossible- to buy a home in THIS Vancouver market. ⁠⁠

On this National Indigenous People's Day, we are still in mourning for the 215+ remains of indigenous children found at the Kamloops Indian Residential School. The school recorded 51 deaths on its record. ⁠
