What. A. Competition!!!! First event back as a vendor and what an event to come back to.

Congrats to all the athletes that competed this past weekend at Provincials. Saw so many PRs and records get broken 🙂

Once again, you guys put on an amazing, well organized competition. I hope you guys are getting some well deserved rest because I didn’t see you stop moving the entire weekend; making sure the athletes, volunteers, spectators, everyone was enjoying themselves.

So good to see old friends and talk to so many people. Looking forward to being part of other events 🙂

I’ve been fortunate enough that the gym I go to let’s me bring in my own bar (woman’s bar). Lugging it back and forth can be a pain but the interior of the car AND the bar are protected because I use a barbell cover.
Speaking of barbell covers, 2 new fabrics have been released: green camo and a really cool nautical stars theme one. Swipe over to check them out.

I might have strained both my hands doing yard work (I get the most weirdest injuries) as I can’t pick up a bar, open jars or even pull off my sports bra. So instead of cleans and snatches, I squat.
Before the gyms closed down, I was a struggle bus at 85kg, I remember grinding out a single 92kg and crying.
In the last few weeks, I’ve been hitting the high 90s for reps, including this 101kg.
Definitely more mobility work to hit that bottom, but I can’t complain too much. Still nowhere near my best but it seems I’m heading back that way.
And yes, I did cry after completing this set 😂

I always cringe when I’m moving my bar and I have to stand it up temporarily and I hear it hit the ground.
That’s why I added a little padding on the bottom of our barbell covers, to provide some protection to the bar when it’s standing up temporarily.
We also received 2 new fun patterns: flamingos and turtles.
