🎉 Member Spotlight: Greg Wold 🎉

We’re proud to celebrate Greg Wold, who has been a valued member of BNI Connections for an incredible 17 years.

Greg studied Fine Arts at the University of Alberta before specializing in Graphic Design through the highly regarded Design Program at Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton. After four years of study, Greg and Lili made the move to Vancouver to immerse themselves in a more dynamic and thriving design scene.

Over the years, Greg has worked with numerous advertising agencies across Vancouver, gaining invaluable experience alongside some of the city’s top art directors.

Greg draws inspiration by keeping an open mind and a sharp eye on emerging technologies and media trends. His willingness to listen, adapt, and try new things has been a key driver of his long-standing success.

Today we’re recognizing the oldest member of our BNI chapter, a Mortgage Broker whose experience and dedication have made a lasting impact on our group. His presentation, which closed out 2025, reflected the knowledge and commitment he consistently brings to the chapter. Thank you for being such a valuable contributor. We’re grateful to have you as part of our chapter!

Rowan Smith is an independent Mortgage Broker who was born and raised in the Lower Mainland, where he has lived his entire life. He graduated at the top of his class from Kwantlen’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Program in 2003 and soon after entered the mortgage industry, following valuable experience at Coast Capital Savings, where he built a strong foundation in banking and customer service.

With nearly 20 years in the industry—celebrating his 20-year anniversary on January 7—Rowan has successfully administered hundreds of millions of dollars in mortgages and has encountered virtually every scenario borrowers can face. His extensive experience allows him to navigate complex situations with confidence and care.

Outside of work, Rowan enjoys working on cars, spending time with his dog, playing guitar, and traveling. He lives in Langley with his fiancée, Tiffany, and their dog, Pippa. And if mortgage brokering ever took a back seat, Rowan’s dream would be to open a small bar in Costa Rica and run it into retirement.

Ilona Spaar Clinical Hypnotherapy

🌿 Ilona Spaar | RCH, PhD | is a Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist and Certified Somatic EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Practitioner. Clients describe her as compassionate and welcoming, and their sessions with her as “life-changing” and “incredibly healing.”
🏆 After only six months in practice, Ilona was recognized as Best Hypnotherapist in Vancouver (Waterview) and Second Best Hypnotherapist in Vancouver (Best of Vancouver).
🧠 She specializes in helping clients process stress, anxiety, and trauma through the body and mind. She also supports clients with sleep challenges, phobias, IBS, pain management, low self-esteem, weight loss, and smoking cessation.
