Ask Scottie - Episode 8 🤝 Who are the offtake partners for the DSO?

In this episode, President of Scottie Resources Thomas Mumford discusses our strategic partnership with the metals trading firm Ocean Partners. This partnership will help facilitate the Scottie Gold Mine DSO project that we are building towards.

Recently, we achieved a major project mileston by entering into a strategic partnership with Ocean Partners UK. This partnership provides significant synergies with the Ocean Partners metal trading operations, who will grind and blend Scottie's high-quality DSO crushed product with complementary precious metals concentrates to be sold to Asian smelters.

This will eliminate the need for a grinding operation at the Scottie mine site and has the additional benefit of the Scottie project being only a 40km drive to North America's northernmost ice-free shipping port, one of the cheapest shipping corridors to the Asian market. All this results in reduced operating cost, capital cost, and complexity.

Collaboration is ongoing with Tetra Tech on our Preliminary Economic Assessment, which we expect to release in Q4 2025.

The PEA is investigating a high-margin DSO operation to deliver a gold concentrate to Asian copper/precious metals smelters. By design, the operation will eliminate the need for a gold processing plant and tailings facility, thereby significantly reducing the capital required and resulting in a minimal environmental footprint. The PEA will be based on the recently reported Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate of 703,000 ounces of gold at an average grade of 6.1 g/t gold (released May 7, 2025).
