Beautiful bottle, beautiful rice shochu from . it’s time to visit Alberta again! Last time was a tad cold ❄️!! Posted • New product! Everyone had something to say about the beautiful packaging on this Hakkaisan Shōchū when it arrived on Wednesday. Shōchū is distilled from rice mash (moromi) meaning it has the same relationship with saké (nihonshu) that whiskey has with beer!

In support of the Old Strathcona Youth Society we will be sharing our favourite biodynamic Priorat wines from Saó del Coster - it is looking like there will be a lot of delicious wines for those smart enough to attend! Saó del Coster

We are happy to welcome what is one of the most elegant wines of Priorat DOQa. Not a word normally associated with the region, these wines focus on fruit and judicious use of oak to best take advantage of the extremely high quality fruit material found on the old vines of Priorat.

Production centres on two plots of land, the beautiful and extreme Planassos and La Pujada, both located in Gratallops. From Planassos come the grapes for “S”, and all of the Terram and Planassos. In La Pujada, a small plot of old Carignan vines provide the grapes for the single-variety, single-vineyard La Pujada.
Saó del Coster works with the minimum intervention philosophy, without chemical products and carrying out all the necessary biodynamic treatments with the assistance of Alvaro Palacios retired donkeys Morena and her younger pal Pepe.

Couple pictures from a great tasting at Campbell Liquor last week. Furmint makes such a diverse and approachable table white, yet it is unknown to so many! Glad we were able to make some new fans of the variety :-)
