Around 2.5 months ago, both my personal plans and the initiatives of Healing Vancouver came to an abrupt halt, as calls for emergency help flooded in. Help for special cases of individuals going through repeated overdose and su***de attempts after the medical system could not assist. Help for people coming back from near death after fentanyl laced drugs. Help for detoxing. Many nights and weeks without much sleep working 24/7 to make sure a life or death intervention works.
Through these experiences, we have gained a profound comprehension of the pressing needs of our society and city at this juncture. This newfound understanding has served as a catalyst for us to recalibrate our efforts, ensuring a more impactful service.
Presently, we are actively raising funds for Healing Vancouver, as well as for our upcoming events and integration centers. This financial support will enable us to extend our assistance on a significantly larger scale. Stay tuned as we prepare to unveil details of our first funded healing event later this month.
