Quick English test. Read these out loud:

• "How is it called?"

• "When I will arrive, I'll call you."

• "How does it look like?"

If any of them sounded normal to you, keep reading.

All of these sentences are wrong in English!

❌ "How is it called?"

✅ "What's it called?"

❌ "When I will arrive, I'll call you."

✅ "When I arrive, I'll call you."

❌ "How does it look like?"

✅ "What does it look like" OR "How does it look?"

Those are 3 out of 10. The other 7 are in today's video - and a few of them will surprise you!

6 phrases English speakers use at work, and what they really mean:

🔵 “Let’s circle back” = Let’s talk later (probably never)

🔵 “With all due respect” = I disagree with you

🔵 “As discussed” = I want proof we agreed on this

🔵 “Let’s take this offline” = Let’s talk privately, not here

🔵 “Just wanted to follow up” = Please reply to me

🔵 “Per my last email” = I already told you. Read it.

Picture this: you're in a meeting.

Someone asks you a question. You know exactly what you want to say in your head, but nothing comes out the way you wanted.

Now you're frustrated, because you've been studying English for 10, 15 or maybe even 20 years.

So why aren't you fluent yet?

I just uploaded a new YouTube video breaking down what's really going on when you freeze in conversation, and three steps you can take to fix this problem:

• You're not a learner anymore - and that label might be holding you back. In the video, I talk about what you really are instead.

• Your response time can be trained, just like any other skill. I walk you through one simple exercise to speed up the gap between thinking and speaking.

• 20% of the vocabulary is causing 80% of your problems. Once you know which words to focus on, everything changes.

Hey 👋

A lot of you have been asking me lately if I’ll ever make an app to help with your English. I’ve been thinking about it for a while.

But I want to be honest - I don’t want to build it just because people are asking. I want to build it only if it would really help you.

So before I decide anything, I want to hear from you properly.

Can you answer a few quick questions? It only takes 3 minutes.

Your answers will help me decide if I should do this or not.

Please be honest - there are no wrong answers ☺️👇
