Trekor and Xatśūll First Nation Mark 10th Year Anniversary of Salmon Sampling Program

Trekor and Gibraltar Mine were honoured to gather with members of the Xatśūll First Nation and local communities at the Xatśūll Cultural Heritage Village for the 2026 Fraser River Salmon Sampling Program, marking the program's 10th anniversary.

Since 2016, the partnership between Xatśūll First Nation, Gibraltar Mine, and Environmental Dynamics Inc. has provided valuable information about the health and nutrition of salmon harvested from Xatśūll traditional fishing sites along the Fraser River. Each year, the partners come together to collect samples, learn more about fish health, and enjoy a community BBQ.

The continuity of the program reflects the ongoing commitment of Xatśūll First Nation, Gibraltar Mine and Environmental Dynamics Inc. to salmon sampling and long-term data collection on the Fraser River. Ten years of sampling provides an important body of information that can help identify changes over time and contribute to a better understanding of the salmon harvested by Xatśūll members.

Trekor Donates $5K to Mission Possible as part of $20K Initiative to Support Community Partners

As the company formerly known as Taseko becomes Trekor, we have sought to lift up our community partners – grassroots organizations working hard to help friends, neighbours and communities achieve their full potential.

Trekor is pleased to announce $20,000 in donations to four charitable partners, each providing services in a region in which we operate, and whose work is making a meaningful difference in the community. Each organization will receive a $5,000 donation, for a total of $20,000.

One of these organizations is Mission Possible — a not-for-profit based in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside that provides employment transition services such as training, education and work experience to individuals who are typically excluded from the traditional workforce.

Mission Possible’s reflects the spirit and goals of Trekor’s Beyond Potential Community Investment Program, by supporting community members through meaningful work, to reach their full potential.

Yellowhead Project team supports North Thompson Fall Fair and participates in Decorated Business Contest

It’s great to see our local community come together for North Thompson Fall Fair & Rodeo.

Trekor’s Yellowhead Project was pleased to take part in this year’s Decorated Business Contest, and we were especially happy to have some familiar local faces serving as judges!

Through Trekor's Beyond Potential Community Investment Program, Yellowhead was also proud to support the 77th Annual North Thompson Fall Fair & Rodeo and help contribute to an event that has been bringing people together and celebrating agriculture, rural life and community spirit for generations.

Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, judges, exhibitors and everyone who helped make another Fall Fair weekend a success!

Trekor Celebrates Ongoing Partnership with Mission Possible at Annual Open House

Mission Possible is a not-for-profit based in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside that provides employment transition services such as training, education and work experience to individuals facing barriers to employment.

Trekor has been a proud sponsor of the organization since 2023, supporting several initiatives including sponsoring current and past Mission Possible associates, presenting the Mission Possible annual gala and sponsoring Mission Possible’s electric pickup truck.

This summer, Mission Possible opened its doors to the public and community to learn more about the organization, for its annual open house. Trekor employees were pleased to attend, alongside other partners and supporters.

Trekor is proud to continue its partnership with Mission Possible and support programs that create meaningful opportunities for individuals in our community. Our team enjoyed connecting and learning about the lasting impact of Mission Possible programs.

Trekor Supports MineralsEd with $10K Donation

Trekor recently presented a $10,000 donation to MineralsEd, a British Columbia-based educational organization dedicated to supporting Earth science, mineral resources, and mining education.

MineralsEd programming supports teachers in developing classroom materials related to minerals, mining, and geoscience. The organization also delivers workshops, field trips, and other mineral-relevant learning opportunities for teachers and students.
