Over the past few months I have been starting a community outreach project called the Pixel Project. Its a way for art to be socially conscious and benefit those in need. I have created two double exposure images combining street portraits and foliage from the downtown east side. In northern Vietnam there is a region called Sapa. Its high elevations are inhabited by local tribes that have lived there for decades. They have lasted through years of warfare and remain resilient despite the harsh climate and terrain. This collection of black and white images were taken showing the people who call it home.
