Our visit to Julian Tile gave us the opportunity to experience materials beyond the sample scale. While photographs can only suggest their presence, this is a small glimpse into what stood out to us.

Seeing materials at scale changes how they read. Rhythm, tone, and surface behavior become clear in ways samples and images cannot convey. These insights guide how we specify finishes for commercial spaces designed to be lived in, touched, and experienced over time.

The Odette logo was carefully drawn to feel distinctive, guided by clarity with character. The lettering draws subtle inspiration from the shape of swans and the grace they embody, paired with a thoughtful nod to classic literary forms. It carries a sense of poise and confidence.

That same sensibility carries through the website design. Typography, spacing, and rhythm were shaped to support the wallpaper collections created by Kelly Deck, allowing product, pattern, and atmosphere to live comfortably within the same frame.

The Odette website introduces its first blog post, Becoming Odette, offering a glimpse into how the brand came to be. A beginning shaped with passion, care, and a deep devotion to beauty.

Odette by Kelly Deck offers inspired, historically rooted wallpapers for interior designers and passionate homemakers, printed in small batches and guided by a love of meaningful interiors.

Our visit to La Linterna, in Cali. A typographic print workshop dedicated since 1934 to the craft of artisanal printing. Posters created using linoleum engraving and movable type, produced on historic presses that remain part of their everyday work.

Rooted in tradition, yet actively sustained by new generations who continue to learn, practice, and share the knowledge of the oficio.

Maestro Olmedo walked us through the workshop, sharing stories of the machines, the process, and the oficio itself. He signed a poster for us while salsa played in the background, mixing with the steady rhythm of the presses.

Vibrant prints come to life here. Posters of artists, musicians, songs, nature, and cultural stories.

Some days, as the light fades, the workshop opens into a place for culture, conversation, music, and beer.

Spade and Plate was designed around the idea of beautiful things for gardening and gathering.
A floral curve. A sharpened edge. A hand that creates, not manufactures.

This brand was shaped through references rooted in nature and tradition. Botanical illustrations inspired by the work and compositions of William Morris. The honest geometry of a spade. Each detail informed the mark, from softened serif edges to the illustrated blade, drawn to feel tactile and time-worn.

The result is a visual language that honours making by hand.
A brand where cultivation is both literal and symbolic.

Sharing a closer look at the Sunny Bridal project, from the early sketch and render to the piece taking shape in the millwork shop.

The moodboard set the direction with warm golds, soft textures, and a touch of pattern. Seeing the first sketch beside the built form is always a satisfying moment, when the ideas begin to feel real.
