Things you think about after five days in hospital. I was admitted last Saturday for a large thrombosis (blood clot) in my neck and left shoulder, and discovered that: A) the clot has been there for quite some time; B) an asymmetric DVT in that area can really do weird stuff regarding vital signs (my BP read normal if taken on the left side, but dangerously high if measured on the right); and C) the Apple Health App is an awesome tool for making sure that the huge amounts of follow-ups, medications, vitals tracking, and other stuff you need to maintain your health.

Got a new phone and are using Signal? Make sure you migrate your old phone’s Signal data to the new device before wiping your old phone! You can’t get the old device’s Signal content back, even from a secure backup!
