On March 29, BC PNP Draw (British Columbia PNP) invited approximately 210 applicants for permanent residency (PR) under 4 different categories in a special targeted draw. Cut off score was 87 for Tech NOCs listed below and 75 for healthcare NOCs listed below as well as for NOC 4214, NOC 3114, and NOC 3213. Below are the details of draw and list of invited NOCs.

Invited candidates now have 30 calendar days to apply for the nomination.

The Canadian government has been prioritizing existing immigration applications from Ukraine since thousands of people began to flee Russian aggression in the region.

With a Third largest Ukrainian diaspora in the world, Canada is looking to do its part and help as many Ukrainians get through this tough time.

Ukrainians who want to visit Canada on a temporary basis will be able get an authorization for emergency travel. There is no limit in number of applicants, so long as they meet the criteria and can prove their eligibility with documentation.

According to Immigration Minister Sean Fraser, the federal government is waiving most of the typical visa requirements but applicants will still need to supply biometrics and undergo a background screening process before leaving for Canada.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is aiming to have this new pathway open for application in the next two weeks.

Besides that, the Canadian government also announced the creation of a new program aimed to "expedite path" to permanent residency for Ukrainians with families in Canada.
