It is indeed an honour to have been a speaker, panelist, and participant over the years at the annual Mineral Exploration Roundup. FLASHBACK - 1991 - You never know who is going to pop up in your old photo collection, this time it was Dave Love in the Barney's Canyon Mine in Utah, USA. The distinguished Dr. Love looks more like a 'Where's Waldo' in this shot.

The Barneys Canyon is a gold mine located in Salt Lake county, Utah at an elevation of 6,594 feet, which opened in 1989 and closed in 2001. Along with the Melco pit, it was one of several open pit gold mines Kennecott had in the area. It was a Carlin type gold deposit mined in the 1990's, 5 miles north of the giant Bingham Canyon copper pit. Beautiful orpiment and realgar samples could be found in this location.

Today, Orex Minerals Inc. (TSXV: REX – OTCQB: ORMNF) released information on their latest diamond drilling program entitled; “Diamond Drilling Intercepts 15 Metres Grading 3.02 g/t Gold-Equivalent on the Loma Verde Vein of the Coneto Gold-Silver Project in Durango, Mexico”. This is a joint-venture between Orex and Fresnillo PLC, located in the Silver Trend on the Mesa Central of north-central Mexico. It is beautiful country, with a long mining tradition.

Sometimes a change is good. I have recently stepped down from the positions of President, CEO and Director of Orex Minerals Inc. and I wish the new senior management the best of success. I am still a shareholder and Technical Advisor.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the friends and colleagues, investors, consultants, contractors, partners and local community members with whom I have had the honour to work for Orex over the years in Peru, Mexico, Sweden and Canada. You have my respect!

May there be many more adventures to come.

A veces, un cambio es bueno. Recientemente dejé los cargos de presidente, director ejecutivo y director de Orex Minerals Inc. y deseo mucho éxito a la nueva gerencia. Sigo siendo accionista y asesor técnico.
