Our technician worked on a stacked Whirlpool washer and dryer where the washer kept running the drain pump even when the tub was empty. After troubleshooting the unusual behaviour, he traced the issue to a short in the control board.

We returned with a new control board, replaced the faulty one, and got the washer working properly again. As you can see in the video, the washer is now filling with water and running normally.

LG Dryer Repair – Noisy Drum

Our technician diagnosed an LG dryer that was making unusual noises during operation. After disassembling the dryer, he found that one of the front drum support rollers had seized and was no longer rotating.

As the drum turned, it rubbed against the seized roller, causing excessive friction and noise.

Our technician replaced the drum support rollers, restoring smooth and quiet operation.

This washer had two issues: it wasn’t draining properly, and the AddWash garment door switch wasn’t making proper contact, causing the washer to detect the door as open and stop the cycle.

During the inspection, our technician found that the drum had separated from the spider assembly, leaving it loose inside the washer. This type of failure can mean a much larger repair, depending on the condition of the drum, bearings, and related components.

A good example of why unusual movement or loud noises from a washer shouldn’t be ignored.

Our technician worked on a large commercial display refrigerator at a local liquor store where one of the glass doors was no longer closing properly.

After inspecting the door assembly, we found the problem was a worn door hinge. The damaged hinge was replaced, allowing the door to close and seal properly again.

Our technician worked on a Whirlpool dryer in Vancouver that was making a loud noise and wasn’t drying clothes properly.

After inspecting the dryer, he found that the blower was broken. The blower plays an important role in moving heated air through the dryer and out through the vent. When it isn’t working properly, airflow can be reduced and drying performance can suffer.

We replaced the damaged blower, restored proper airflow, and tested the dryer to make sure it was running and drying properly again.

This older stackable washer and dryer was making a loud noise during operation. Our technician inspected the dryer and found that the plastic blower fan had broken at the motor shaft.

Because the broken part of the blower was stuck on the motor, it had to be carefully removed before the new parts could be installed. Our technician replaced the damaged blower and motor, tested the dryer, and restored proper operation.

Older appliances can often still be repaired when the right diagnosis is made and the necessary parts are available.
