Big changes afoot on Granville Island.

The latest is that there is a potential transfer of ownership from CMHC to Vancouver Port Authority. strongly opposes this takeover, and Sam Sullivan wants to bring it back to Vancouver from Ottawa, but doesn't think that should be managed by the . One of Robertson's ideas is that "an independent local authority be created to protect Granville Island’s 'unique character.'"

We are working closely with the Granville Island Works community, the businesses and people that this take over would affect most significantly to address these pending changes.
