The Heartful Healer

The Heartful Healer Therapy / Meditation Facilitation / Intuitive Readings She was given the Buddhist Pali Name, ‘Khema’, by her teacher in 2015.

Known to her clients as the Heartful Healer, Khema (Nina Fields) is a gifted Intuitive, Registered Therapeutic Counsellor, long-term Buddhist Practitioner, Pilates Teacher, and loving Mother to two heartful children. The name ‘Khema’ means ‘secure, well-composed, settled’. After facing many trials, tribulations and difficult transitions in her own life, she was given the name ‘Khema’ to guide her

to a new place of inner well-being and refuge amidst all the inevitable uncertainties of life. Her name is a reminder that each of us can feel “secure, well-composed and settled” even amidst the most trying and difficult periods of our lives. As a caring and gifted Intuitive, Khema helps unlock, decipher and translate messages that are being sent to us by our intuitive guides and our own deeper minds. As if reading a story, she receives images and information like flash cards – timely messages that provide clarity and resolution on the matters that are most important to us right here and now. By providing a pure channel for these messages to come through, Khema guides her clients to a place of deep healing and transformation. As a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor, Khema has been helping people break through their inner barriers to find clarity and well-being for over fifteen years. Specializing in relational-based therapy and mindful parenting, she skillfully guides her clients through critical decisions and transitions in their lives, including divorce, separation, loss and the many manifestations of emotional trauma and anxiety. As an experienced Pilates Teacher, Khema also understands the importance of working with both body and mind in the heartful healing process. As a long-term Buddhist Practitioner, Khema has deep insight into the inner workings of the mind and our potential to cultivate greater peace, joy, wisdom and compassion for ourselves and others. She considers herself a life-long student of the Dhamma and regularly attends retreats at Birken Forest Buddhist Monastery. Combined with her intuitive skills and counselling experience, Khema helps her clients find profound spiritual healing through the Buddha’s wise teachings on mindfulness and loving-kindness. In addition to one-on-one healing sessions, Khema also leads Buddhist mindfulness / “heartfulness” workshops for adults and teens (http://www.ensofoundation.com/teens) throughout British Columbia.

Rainbow in the clouds on drive home. Always changing and always impermanent nature shows us. The way the light hits can create such beauty. Thank you nature for always being the best teacher. 📷

Lost
Stand still. The trees ahead and bushes beside you
Are not lost. Wherever you are is called Here,
And you must treat it as a powerful stranger,
Must ask permission to know it and be known.
The forest breathes. Listen. It answers,
I have made this place around you.
If you leave it, you may come back again, saying Here.
No two trees are the same to Raven.
No two branches are the same to Wren.
If what a tree or a bush does is lost on you,
You are surely lost. Stand still. The forest knows
Where you are. You must let it find you.

Let your emotional waters flow. Let them be felt and released as nature does. Let your emotions create more beauty with all your vulnerability. Let them soften the edges that kept you rigid. Allow all of you to be felt, seen and heard. You are beautiful all of you. 📷 my beautiful daughter

Embracing the shadow and the light. We all carry both. Sometimes we can get lost in our thinking minds and go on our ruminating thoughts. Trick is to catch it wherever you are and start again. Come back to the breath, a sense. Practice with all of it. Our shadows come up to be processed and to the light for healing. Try not to get swept away. Keep putting one foot in front of the other. This was an accidental picture that felt it was a reminder to keep going even when a shadow thought or sensation arises. Embracing with non judgment and compassion. I see you, I see me. Big love ❤️

The beauty of the light hitting the forest in just the right way. Pulling the colours and enlivening the senses. Nature is my favourite place to explore my senses. She always puts on a show for my pleasure. We just need to pay attention.

A dogs life. Simple. They rely on rhythm and routine. What if we took a chapter from their book. Create a steady and simple ease to our days, take things in stride and shake off the challenges as they arise and stay as present as we can.

This belongs, this moment, this breath, this feeling. Embracing it all, the light and the dark. Learning to gently caress these parts of self with the soft whisper, this belongs.

We do not need a fancy space to hold space for ourselves in meditation. Nature holds us. Does not matter where. It always has the right sounds or sights to keep us present and connected. Where is your favourite place to connect with self?
