💙 $100,000 for Scholarships

During the 25th Annual Calista Education & Culture Golf Classic, Calista Education & Culture received a $100,000 contribution from Donlin Gold in support of scholarships for Calista Shareholders and Descendants.

This funding will help expand access to higher education, career and technical training, and workforce development opportunities across the Calista region, supporting students as they pursue their educational and career goals.

Scholarship support remains one of the most meaningful ways to invest in the future of our communities, helping create opportunities for the next generation of leaders, skilled tradespeople, and professionals.

Calista Corporation offices in Anchorage and Bethel will be closed Friday, June 19, in honor of Juneteenth—a federal holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. Our offices will reopen at 8 a.m., Monday, June 22.

On June 19, 1865, Union troops freed enslaved African Americans in Galveston and across Texas, over two years after President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation.
