🎙️ New episode alert - Treasure Hunters Episode 3 is out now!

This time Christina McCarthy and CEO William Wulftange head south of the border to San Javier, our copper-gold project in Sonora, Mexico, about 90 minutes east of Hermosillo, a few kilometres off the paved road, with power already to site.

Here's the short version: San Javier has a Preliminary Economic Assessment showing a pre-tax NPV of US$111.8 million and a 26.3% IRR - and that was at US$4.00/lb copper, well below where copper sits today. On top of that, we went back to historic drill core, resampled it, and found gold in four out of five holes including 9 metres of 3.464 g/t. Gold wasn't counted in the PEA at all.

And as of this month, the project is 100% ours.

Will and Christina get into why the geology makes this a low-cost deposit to mine, and what having a copper-focused neighbour on one side and a gold-focused neighbour on the other could mean for the project.

Arizona accounts for nearly 70% of the United States total copper production - this is elephant country for copper discoveries.

Barksdale Resources (TSXV: BRO | OTCQB: BRKCF | FSE: 2NZ) is drilling out a large, copper porphyry system at Sunnyside. Its 2026 program is hitting broad, near-surface copper - and every reported hole has ended in mineralization, meaning the system stays open and the deeper porphyry is still largely untested.

Here’s what makes this compelling:

• High-grade copper hits. 2026 RC drilling resulted in a copper discovery in the first three holes which returned two ~61-metre intervals grading 0.90% and 0.93% copper, inside broad zones such as 0.45% Cu over ~392 m.

• Over 1,000 metres of continuous copper. Recent holes, combined with historical data, define a vertical copper zone extending more than 1,000 metres deep - open, and largely untested at depth - with RC drilling ending in copper mineralization (see May 4, 2026 news release).

• Tier-one jurisdiction, beside a major. Sunnyside sits in Arizona, adjacent to South32’s Taylor/Hermosa deposit and its planned ~US$4-billion development. Copper is a critical metal for electrification and the energy transition.

• A clear path to control. Completing the current 25,000-ft program lifts Barksdale’s interest in the Sunnyside deposit to 67.5%. Barksdale is planning to hit this target in July.

The deeper porphyry remains largely untested.

• A major 15,240-metre (50,000-foot) core drilling program is planned for Fall 2026, designed to extend the near-surface copper to depth and define the deposit – the next big catalyst for the story.

You can't ask for a better neighbor.

Right next to our Sunnyside Project sits South32's Hermosa, one of the most significant critical-minerals developments in the United States, and the largest private investment in southern Arizona's history. There's a massive amount of infrastructure going into the ground directly beside us to build it out.

But here's what we find most compelling about the address: we believe the heat engine that drove all of it sits on our ground.

The Sunnyside copper porphyry, the large intrusive system at the core of our property is, in our interpretation, the source responsible for the mineralization across this district, including the deposits South32 is now building a mine around.

That's the system we're working to test and define at Sunnyside.

🗺️ A copper footprint is taking shape at Triple C and it's still growing.

Every one of the first 15 RC holes we drilled to test our Triple C target ended in copper mineralization. All 15.

We've now traced a 600m strike, stepped 650m to the north — and we're still seeing mineralization. What's emerging is a near-surface copper body sitting right at surface… and we're drilling it cheaply.

The groundwork behind it: a fully permitted US Forest Service plan of operation that took six years to earn. Now we've got the green light to test every target on the property in a tier-one jurisdiction.
