Metallic Minerals announces its participation in a U.S. Department of Energy supported research initiative led by the Colorado School of Mines to develop next-generation artificial intelligence hashtag technologies for critical minerals exploration.

Metallic Minerals’ La Plata Project was selected for the AGAPEX initiative based on its district-scale alkalic polymetallic mineral system, extensive geological, geochemical and geophysical database, and diverse suite of critical minerals. This provides an ideal environment to develop and validate next-generation AI-assisted exploration technologies.

Metallic Minerals is proud to be participating in the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)'s through the initiative led by Colorado School of Mines.

Selected as one of just 278 awards from more than 5,000 applications, the project brings together government, academia and industry to advance the next generation of AI-assisted critical minerals exploration.

Metallic Minerals' La Plata Project was selected as one of two initial test systems to help develop and validate these technologies. By combining our extensive geological, geochemical and geophysical database with advanced AI models and high-performance computing resources, the collaboration aims to improve exploration targeting, reduce uncertainty and support more informed exploration decisions.

We're excited to work alongside Colorado School of Mines, the National Laboratory of the Rockies and the Colorado Geological Survey as this innovative project moves forward. More to follow!

The investment supports the continued exploration of the 181.4 Mt Mineral Resource as Metallic begins the next phase of field programs designed to advance our evolving U.S. copper, silver, PGE, and gold project, along with additional priority critical minerals.
