Really looking forward to upcoming exhibition Thresholds at

Built from vintage books, architectural fragments and landscapes, Aimée’s collages create surreal immersive spaces that pull you in. I’m especially excited to see the seven-foot banner works in person.

There’s a real physicality to these works. Walls crack open, curtains reveal impossible scenes, and familiar interiors become disorienting in a way I really love.

Opening reception: June 5, 6–9pm
Exhibition: June 5 – July 15

A great visit with talking through her new series The Inner Shift, work that explores quieter, internal changes and how that shows up on the surface.

We also got into the professional side: investing in a photoshoots, renting space, and creating the right context for the work to be seen. These images are an example of how fantastic the work can look in new spaces.

Way to go, Christina! Looking forward to our next visit.

Visited for first solo exhibition with the gallery this spring.

The works stage scenes of intimacy and tension as if several states are active within a single scene. Compositions and body positions reference art history, reworked through a contemporary lens. It was fascinating walking through the exhibition and trying to identify the references or influences.

“In a taut hyperrealism, exposed flesh becomes the arena where ancestral passions are replayed: desire and guilt, gentleness and violence, brotherhood and rivalry.”

Alongside the paintings are free standing wooden cut-outs. An impressive mechanical moving window installation draws you into a striking, immersive, almost theatrical experience.

Join me this Saturday for the Speaker Series: Life After Art School — A Q&A for Emerging Artists.

We’ll be using “after art school” as a loose starting point, but this session is open to anyone navigating what comes next, whether you’ve gone to art school, are self-taught, or figuring things out as you go.

It’s a casual, open Q&A, so the conversation will be shaped by your questions. It’s online, free, and a relaxed space to share openly or just listen in.

David shares his love for and her newsletter The Marginalian, a space where poetry and science don’t just coexist, but deepen each other.

It’s a reminder that curiosity and critical thinking don’t have to live in separate lanes but can be a part of the same hopeful conversation. Hope it sparks something for you too.

Second time seeing Song Dong’s work and it somehow lands even deeper. At he turns the entire space into an archive of objects… not precious ones, just the everyday things that mean something to him.

The mirror house, built from salvaged windows and mirrors, folds you into the piece, where hundreds of lamps feel devotional. In the center of the mall is the giant chandelier made of plastic bottles.

And then Eating the City, watching him build this intricate, edible city out of crackers and cookies in real time was almost more satisfying than being there to eat it…almost.

I really like that he keeps returning to this idea: that objects aren’t fixed. Nothing is wasted and everything is in transition.

A quiet magic tucked behind tall Parisian doors…

Visiting felt less like stepping into a gallery and more like entering a lived-in world of art. The space moves between apartment and exhibition, where everything is in dialogue.

What I love most is how it resists that traditional white cube set up. Works are placed as if they belong to everyday life. Ceramics, paintings, sculpture all coexisting in a way that feels considered. A reminder that collecting is not just about acquiring, but about living with art intimately.

I came to see (see last post) work again, as this is one of her longtime galleries. Seeing it here, in context, felt especially full circle.

Please join us next Thursday, April 16th at 5:30pm at where I’ll be in conversation with about her new exhibition Quietly Palpable, part of this year’s .

We’ll be in a relaxed, Q&A format, speaking about her deeply material, multi-disciplinary process, her fascination with lichens and how her work invites us to tune into what often goes unnoticed.

Hope to see you there!
