Geosynthetics are being used in more demanding conditions, with higher expectations around performance and service life.

The 13th International Conference on Geosynthetics (13ICG) looks at how those expectations hold up in practice, through case studies, design discussions, and technical exchange.

Under the theme “Legacy, Evolution & Revolution in Geosynthetics,” the conference examines where established approaches are holding, where they are evolving, and where new methods are emerging.

Solmax Egypt recently welcomed representatives from the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service for a visit focused on geosynthetic solutions and regional infrastructure development.

The visit offered an opportunity to showcase our portfolio and highlight the projects our solutions continue to support across Egypt and the broader MEA region, while also exploring the role of international collaboration in advancing complex infrastructure initiatives.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Solmax University 2026 at Lake Lanier Resort in Buford, Georgia.

This year, we welcomed 61 distributors and 83 engineers from across the United States and Canada for several days of technical education, practical application discussions and relationship-building focused on geosynthetic materials and their role in solving real field challenges.

Across both programs, attendees explored topics including roadway reinforcement, drainage with geotextiles, erosion control and surficial stability, engineered structures, marine applications, low-carbon solutions, product comparisons, specification considerations and more. Engineers also had the opportunity to earn PDH credits through eligible technical sessions attended.

Beyond the classroom sessions, plant tours and networking events gave attendees the opportunity to connect. These conversations are what make Solmax University so valuable: bringing engineers, distributors and our team together to better understand the challenges faced in the field and how engineered geosynthetic solutions can help address them.

We are grateful for the energy and insight each attendee brought to this year’s event – it's because of you that Solmax University 2026 was a success.
