Our client, Kovachik Aircraft Services, is looking for a driven, full-time Aircraft Maintenance Engineer “M1” who is a Licensed Mechanic or Experienced Apprentice with experience in small aircraft. The AME is responsible for conducting planned and unplanned maintenance on aircrafts and requires an M1 license to be successful.
Kovachik Aircraft Services (KAS) is a Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Organization located at the Burlington Executive Air Park just west of Toronto. Kovachik Aircraft Services has a strong reputation as a reliable, safe and friendly maintenance facility that oversees the care of a fleet of commercially operated aircraft as well as the handling of private sector client demands.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conducting planned and unplanned maintenance procedures on our fleet of aircraft in accordance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations and company procedures
Perform aircraft inspections, including airframe structures, engines and components
Ensure operating and maintenance procedures comply with industry and internal regulations and quality standards
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, manuals, etc.
Maintaining an organized, clean and safe hangar environment
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Transport Canada AME M1 license or Experienced M1 Apprentice
Experience working on general aviation M1 aircraft and systems
Available to work weekends
Computer proficiency
Knowledge in CARs regulations
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
This position is a full-time, permanent position with working schedule of 40 hours per week with weekend scheduling. Overtime is available.
