2953hd of cattle sold through the ring here in Vermilion. The majority of the feeder cattle sold $3-5 higher this week, other than the 700lb cattle which sold fully steady to last week. The cow and bull trade was also up $3-5 this week. The top bull sold @ $283/lb.

Some really good quality cattle traded today in Vermilion - a total of 1500hd went through the ring this week. All classes of steers traded fully steady to $5 stronger on some middle 6 weights. The heifers traded just steady.

Cows traded sideways on kill type cows and $5 higher on feeding cows. The bulls traded $5-8 higher than last week.

1311hd of cattle sold through the ring this week. The feeder cows traded $3-5/cwt higher than last week. Slaughter ready cows & bulls also showed strength with top bulls trading @ $254/cwt.

It was a very good presort with what seemed to be lots of interest in the calves and yearlings, trading hands at prices fully steady to slightly stronger than last week. Highlights are as follows:
438lb tan steers @ $787.50/cwt or $3449/hd
727lb black exotic steers @ $558/cwt or $4057/hd
879lb exotic yearling heifers @ $462.50/cwt or $4065/hd
