Shoutout to the MANY incredible people, businesses and communities that make up the North Okanagan. Social media is a place of hope and pride right now watching our communities come together over this terrible tragedy. From Oakwyn Realty in Coldstream who has been working tirelessly on coordinating donations...the community SHOWED UP, so much in fact that they actually had to ask people to STOP donating for the time being, and the who is collecting donations for displaced families & their pets, or the The Okanagan Science Centre for opening their doors to evacuee families, or Forever Home Sanctuary for taking in stranded animals, or The Fig for serving coffee and food to crews and evacuees, or Hilltop Subaru Vernon who is raising funds to support one of their team who lost their home, or COBS Bread who delivered bread to evacuees who were camping in their RV's as well as to Kal Place, or to North Okanagan citizens like .Baird2 from Revelstoke who offered to take in displaced horses or Giussepe Siniscalchi who offered "an extra set of hands moving belongings, loading a trailer, or getting things to a safer place", to all of the fire crews coming from all over BC, Canada and even internationally to help fight this fire, and all of the city staff and local news pages for their coverage locally to keep people up to date and informed. Full list of support available provided by Okanagan Indian Band posted in the comments. Wow. WOWWWWWW, you are all Super Stars.
