Our new AI sorter has officially been installed—and it’s already hard at work!

Thanks to the incredible team at RecycleRobo, we’ve taken an exciting step forward in efficiency, accountability and accuracy. Their innovation, collaboration and commitment to sustainability have helped create technology that improves our operations while minimizing our environmental impact.

Another $2,000 Community Donation for July!

Thanks to our incredibly generous customers and owner, we were able to donate another $2,000 to the Animal Auxiliary Thrift Store!

This wonderful local charity is there for animals and their owners during some of life’s most difficult moments—including fires, floods, missing-pet searches and other emergencies. Living in an area so prone to wildfires, we know how important it is to have organizations ready to help when the unexpected happens.

The Animal Auxiliary also operates a thrift store, with proceeds going directly toward helping these beautiful souls in need. 🐾💖

We are so grateful for the compassion and care they bring to our community, and we’re incredibly happy that, together, we could help—even just a little bit.

July Community Donation

For the month of July, Interior Recycling is proud to donate $2,000 to the Upper Room Mission Vernon.

Since 1980, the Upper Room Mission has supported people experiencing homelessness, poverty and isolation. By providing food, clothing and a safe place to belong, they help meet essential needs while offering compassion, dignity and connection during incredibly difficult times.

The summer heat must be especially challenging to navigate without reliable shelter, access to water or a safe place to cool down. The work of the Upper Room Mission is vital—not only during extreme weather, but every day of the year.

We’re grateful for everything they do to help vulnerable members of our community survive, feel supported and know they are not alone.

JUNE DONATION

For the month of June, Interior Recycling is proud to donate $2,000 to Kindale Development Association.

What started in 1959 as one mother's determination to ensure children with developmental disabilities had access to education has grown into an incredible organization supporting adults, youth, and families throughout the North Okanagan and Columbia Shuswap.

Kindale's story is rooted in community. From volunteers who built the very first school to the dedicated staff and supporters who continue that legacy today, their commitment to inclusion, opportunity, and person-centred support has made a lasting difference in countless lives.

We are honoured to support an organization that believes every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive, connect, and reach their goals.

Thank you, Kindale, for the amazing work you do in our community. And thank you, to our wonderful customers who help us make these donations happen to build our community. ❤️

For the last few years Interior Recycling has participated in the oil & antifreeze collection program through Interchange Recycling. We are beyond excited to be recognized as one of the Top Collectors for 2025 (again). We thank you from the bottom of our hearts as we couldn't have done this without the support of our community.

For the month of May we are proud to be donating $2,000 to Vernon's local Type 1 diabetes organization, T1D Hub.

Diabetes affects millions of people around the world. If you didn't know, diabetes is a condition in which the body either cannot produce insulin or cannot properly use the insulin it produces. Insulin is a hormone made by the pancreas that helps regulate the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream.

Maintaining healthy blood sugar levels is essential for the body to function properly. When blood sugar remains too high, it can lead to serious complications affecting organs, blood vessels, and nerves. Insulin also plays a critical role in helping the body convert sugar into energy.

Did you know that every three minutes, someone in Canada is diagnosed with diabetes? Chances are that diabetes has affected you, a family member, a friend, or someone in your community.

That's why we wanted to support our local Type 1 diabetes community through T1D Hub. Their events, fundraisers, educational programs, and community support initiatives make a meaningful difference for individuals and families living with Type 1 diabetes.

We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute and help support the important work they do right here in our community.

April was all about books, learning, and giving back!

We were so excited to have been able to donate $2,000 to the Literacy Society of the North Okanagan this month! Their work helps open doors, build confidence, and create opportunities for so many people in our community.

From helping children discover the joy of reading to supporting lifelong learning, the impact they make is something truly worth celebrating. Did you know they offer digital support for those who just need a little help navigating new phones, tablets and laptops? WOWEE!
