Big art needs a frame that's built for it. This original linocut monoprint came home with our clients from South America, and at roughly 8 by 3 feet it needed more than a standard frame.
We used a rustic, hand-finished wood frame with an acid-free white rag mat, and conservation-grade anti-reflective acrylic instead of glass to keep the weight down and the reflections out. Behind the artwork, a support structure keeps it rigid, and it hangs from both top corners on a special hanger that spreads the load and keeps it flat against the wall.
We think the result is both complementary and beautiful, and our clients were thrilled. If you have an oversized piece rolled up or leaning against a wall, bring it in and we'll design the frame with it in front of us.
