A peek over Brittany’s shoulder on what she’s working on this week! She’s in the midst of compiling a visual report on the science of heat in cities. Keep an eye out for when this is published! 👀

Graphic recordings can move, come to life, and be interactive! ✨

This graphic was drawn digitally at a Métis National Council conference about strengthening early years supports. People working across early child care gathered to talk about priorities in the coming years, which Tanya captured on multiple graphic recordings. Afterwards, we animated little scenes and made this main graphic clickable so other graphics and links to reports pop up.

Graphics like these are a hub of information for participants, and can be embedded on websites!

Thank you to Métis National Council for inviting us into the space 🙏

As visual thinkers, we spend our year capturing everyone else’s big ideas. Once a year, we pause to focus on ours ✨

Our annual team retreat is fully funded for both our staff and valued associate freelancers. We come together in-person to learn and appreciate Indigenous culture in different territories, deep dive into graphic recording techniques, and imagine new ways of working!

This year we gathered in Wendat territory in Quebec City, at the Wendat owned and operated Hôtel-Musée Premières Nations, who were attentive and welcoming hosts 💕

Every year during our team retreat, we create a Knowledge Wall summarizing what we learned, saw, and experienced.

This year, the six of us drew scenes in mini sketchbooks while on cultural tours, in restaurants, walking Old Quebec, and during a full day of hands-on workshops on graphic recording & visual storytelling.

Afterward, we stitched our scenes together to make one Knowledge Wall! (Plus an extra knowledge wall to honour our secret talent of winning escape rooms 😉)

We love data, especially when it validates what we’ve witnessed in countless meetings over the last sixteen years: that graphic recording has a real, measurable impact. Here are the receipts to prove it!

✅ Double the memory recall.
✅ 30% more high-quality ideas.
✅ Significantly higher participant satisfaction.

At Fuselight, we also prioritize interactivity because research proves we retain information far better when we interact with it. By adding layers like Augmented Reality, inviting participants to draw their own ideas, and creating 3D spatial experiences, we create a hands-on experience that is scientifically proven to boost learning by up to 105%.

Honoured to listen deeply and graphic record the conversation between Janis Brooks, Cara Logan, and Carmen Moore on Matriarchal Leadership. It’s about restoring balance in leadership spaces, stepping into strength, and making space for a culture of care across all our systems and organizations.

They also spoke about MMIWG2S, the harm of online spaces, the ongoing history of genocide, and how these have disrupted & continue to disrupt matriarchal leadership. That this causes harm to everyone.

This is part of an ongoing series of Indigenous Speakers, hosted online by FortisBC for their internal teams to deepen their learning, allyship, and action towards truth & reconciliation.

The Art in Action: Climate Symposium in St. Catharines, Ontario invited the public to sit alongside scientists, Indigenous Knowledge Keepers, artists, political leaders, and community members in a series of powerful sessions that sparked dialogue, shifted perspectives, and opened new pathways for action.

Brittany graphic recorded the dialogue in real time, creating a visual summary of key themes from across multiple breakout spaces. Her iPad and wireless connection to the projection system allowed her to be super mobile!

Keep an eye out for an upcoming “Process Talk” where Brittany will share the behind the scenes of how this graphic came together, how she handled tricky parts, and her process for getting ready.
