Honoured to listen deeply and graphic record the conversation between Janis Brooks, Cara Logan, and Carmen Moore on Matriarchal Leadership. It’s about restoring balance in leadership spaces, stepping into strength, and making space for a culture of care across all our systems and organizations.

They also spoke about MMIWG2S, the harm of online spaces, the ongoing history of genocide, and how these have disrupted & continue to disrupt matriarchal leadership. That this causes harm to everyone.

This is part of an ongoing series of Indigenous Speakers, hosted online by FortisBC for their internal teams to deepen their learning, allyship, and action towards truth & reconciliation.

The Art in Action: Climate Symposium in St. Catharines, Ontario invited the public to sit alongside scientists, Indigenous Knowledge Keepers, artists, political leaders, and community members in a series of powerful sessions that sparked dialogue, shifted perspectives, and opened new pathways for action.

Brittany graphic recorded the dialogue in real time, creating a visual summary of key themes from across multiple breakout spaces. Her iPad and wireless connection to the projection system allowed her to be super mobile!

Keep an eye out for an upcoming “Process Talk” where Brittany will share the behind the scenes of how this graphic came together, how she handled tricky parts, and her process for getting ready.

We recently hosted a workshop for our Fuselight freelancers on the benefits of a “loose and sketchy” style. While polished illustration is beautiful, graphic recording is, at its core, a facilitative process of listening and inviting collaboration. Blending more looseness into our work helps do just that!

Truly honoured to be invited into these spaces where community members share their reflections on climate grief, resilience, and connection to land, water, animals, plants.

Canada’s north is seeing the impacts of climate change faster than other areas. Conversations about resilience and knowledge are so important.

These two graphic recordings were illustrated live, and are the first two of nine sessions in the coming months!

We believe animation should be as purposeful as it is beautiful. Swipe to see the three ways we tailor our animation styles to engage different audiences.

Too often, animation is treated as a “one-and-done” video file. But it can be so much more — from animation created live during conferences for a powerful recap, to animations that double as an infographic, to animations that tell stories in AR. Check out the full breakdown on our site!

A “Day in the Life” at Fuselight looks a little different for everyone! As a women-owned and operated agency, we’ve built our model around a core team of highly trained, full-time employees, supported by a selective network of specialized contractors.

Here’s a peek at a typical day in our life!

From 1000 words to an interactive experience. ✨

How do you make detailed research accessible? For this project, we were tasked with summarizing feedback from Deaf, DeafBlind, and hard-of-hearing students regarding learning environments.

With a lot of content, we chose a clickable infographic to allow users to dive into layers of information at their own pace. Swipe to see our journey from the initial content map and rough layouts to the final, interactive product! (See link in our profile to check out the interactive graphic)
