Last week, the BC Community Forest Association attended the 2026 BC First Nations Forestry Council Conference hosted at the Kelowna Flight Centre for Excellence. It was an inspiring gathering focused on innovation, leadership, and partnership in the future of forestry across B.C.

Centered around the theme “Forest Nations Rising - From Strong Roots to Global Horizons,” the conference brought together First Nations, industry, and government leaders to share knowledge, strengthen relationships, and explore practical actions that support resilient communities and Nation-led growth across the sector and beyond. From Nation-led plenary sessions to meaningful networking opportunities, the event highlighted the importance of working together to build sustainable futures grounded in Indigenous leadership and stewardship.

Thank you to the organizers, speakers, and everyone who contributed to such an impactful week. We’re grateful to have been part of the conversations shaping the future of forestry in British Columbia!
