GoWestShore is a multi-dimensional community collaboration with publications, maps and online portal resources to help tourists & visitors,, locals, seniors and would be investors discover the best the Westshore has to offer. At that time, the West Shore region did not have a cartographic identity to endorse itself. In March of 2017, we published our first title, a sesquicentennial edition of the
GoWestShore Concierge Map, with copies currently in circulation throughout the Capital District Region. But that was just the beginning. For 2018, we are excited to be launching 3 additional GoWestShore publications, each focused on a specific target market & distribution network. GoWestShore was always destined to become a strategic platform from which companies could achieve widespread mainstream exposure on the West Shore to specifically targeted groups in varied markets including Residents, Businesses, Seniors, Visitors & Tourists. Our channels are integrated to reach readers in both high-end glossy print and digital formats. All of our publications are purpose-built to support collaborative growth, prosperity and sustainability of business and community life on the West Shore. With our GoWestShore publications and collaborative model, we create a strong presence for businesses & organizations in our community, positioning and enabling them to:
• Encourage Victoria-bound tourists to extend their stay and explore the West Shore’s world-class lifestyle & sport amenities; and conceivably, return to play, work and live in our family-friendly, business-oriented community
• Showcase its public, cultural & commercial amenities to visitors, locals and those interested in investing/living in one of the fastest growing regions on Vancouver Island
• Foster a proud, united identity & legacy for future generations on the West Shore
We believe the timing and the need for GoWestShore has arrived. For the next 15 years at least, the West Shore is the only area left on southern Vancouver Island where families can look for affordable detached housing & high-density, multi-family developments for young and older residents alike who want to live in closer community with others and closer to shops, services and transportation. As the West Shore enters its next wave of growth, our platform and strategies are structured to embrace organizations and sectors of all sizes as collaboration partners—ensuring that those who actively participate as leaders in community life and its economy all rise together with the tide.
