LOOKING FOR FULL TERM OR NEAR FULL TERM PREGNANT MODELS FOR OUR ACUPRESSURE CLASS. It's that time of year again! Late Saturday morning, September 24th; Putting the call out to pregnant Momas who want to be models and receive some free acupressure from the adoring Doulas in our last class of Acupressure for Pregnancy and Childbirth. Looking particularly for women 37 weeks and on to past their due dates, or any breach babies that need to turn. "Almost every mother reaches a moment of aloneness in labor. She realizes it's up to her, that no one else can do it for her. Sometimes this happens earlier on and with ease. Sometimes she fights it for hours before succumbing to the inevitability. As a doula, I watch for some sign of this. If I sense it hasn't happened, I leave space for her to come to that conclusion. She may labor in the shower in privacy for a while. Or I can direct her coping toward finding her instincts. The goal is that, though she may initially feel scared or abandoned, she learns quickly what power she has. Then she can say, "I did it. Myself.""

😉 so often my clients are confused and frustrated with all of the conflicting advice they receive in life about the "right" way to parent. Well meaning advice is often so hard to hear because there is just too much of it .... But this piece of advice I'm sure would always be well received!

Some information because right now is so often the time when cluster feeding happens!

At home with my "baby". It's his first sick day ever. He cried when I told him he couldn't go to kindergarten. He's much better with the situation now that I have him set up watching Mr.Bean.

And now I can finish off the placenta pills I'm preparing for the amazing mama who had a successful home VBAC yesterday! So incredibly proud of her!!
