The Price of Trust
I often hear people say:
“I can do the same thing for less money.”
Maybe.
Right now, I need several professional services for my businesses. Over the years, I have paid some providers tens of thousands of dollars annually.
Could I find someone cheaper?
Absolutely.
In fact, I know talented Romanian, Armenian, and other professionals who would gladly do the work for a lower price.
Yet I don’t hire them.
Why?
Trust.
They may be excellent people.
They may be highly skilled.
But they have not yet demonstrated that I can trust them with critical responsibilities.
So we remain stuck.
They don’t receive the contract worth tens of thousands of dollars.
And I continue paying the professional who consistently gets the job done. ✅
Many people think business is about price.
Often, it’s not.
It’s about trust.
The same principle applies when clients don’t hire us.
Most of the time, it’s not because our service is too expensive.
It’s because they don’t trust us enough—yet.
Trust is earned through competence.
Trust is earned through consistency.
Trust is earned through results.
And trust has a price.
