In case you missed it! Glad I didn’t wait until this weekend to do it!

Last weekend‘s natural dyeing with Lily of the Valley. The colours were quite muted as it was harvested at the very end of the growing season.

In the Spring it gives bright greens and yellow greens. I have other plants stored in the freezer to make into dyes over the winter and early Spring when new flowers appear. LuvLocal Stacey McKellar

Avoid tariffs and support Canadian wool. I labelled my handspun yarn and fibre this weekend. I’ve got lots available. If you need a special colour, let me know.

It may be more than you pay in store but it’s sourced from Ontario farmers, washed without harsh chemicals ( Dawn and hot water ), lovingly prepared by hand the old fashioned way and handspun on spinning wheel ( no electricity used). The best is anything you make with wool will last decades with proper care. It doesn’t contribute to the growing textile landfill.
