Facebook insists that Cambridge Analytica didn't get information on 50 million Americans because of a 'data breach.' It's right. What really happened is much worse.

Like to share a few though with the folks that find their way here.

I discovered computing in 1974. Home brew computer clubs were evolving into retail shops, service benches and sales man with a great pitch line.

Our association with Apple Computers in the 80's brought in contact with some of the most influential people in the fledgling computer industry. Never did meet Jobs or Woz, but knew folks that did.

The retail side was great training for what came next. Certifications and contracts with the big players in the enterprise support community.

Awesome gig. A 24 story executive office building in downtown Vancouver,. hundreds of desks in suburban work sites and a support team in each city of the Province.

Year 2K came and went with accolades all around, then the tech bubble burst.

In the process, I relied on increasingly sophisticated communications gear. Phone number pagers gave way to 4 line displays, then BlackBerry make an appearance. Caught a new wave.

Been a roller coaster ride. :)
