Starting at a young age I put myself to the test and broke out of conventional thinking as it pertains to a job and career. Every experience I had I looked at the situation and built a better way of doing things. This put me in advising or consulting roles where ever I went. The following are some examples of this.
I created a detailing department for a powder coating company to reduce costs associated with re-working defective parts. I rewrote a procedural manual for a label making company, transforming their level of production. In Special Events I managed logistics, helping a company grow from a 3000 sq ft space to over 60,000 sq ft and quadrupling their workforce. I owned and operated a small decorative wrought iron welding company for several years, teaching myself to weld and blacksmith to form many of the designs we sold and installed. I helped a prominent construction hoist company transform their operations as it pertained to the maintenance of its cars. Beyond that, I protected a tile manufacturer from bankruptcy when they had exhausted every other avenue to reduce their scrap rate from a whopping 30%. Within 5 weeks, we were down to 0.7%, surpassing projected returns. At the age of 34, I helped design and build a company that would compete directly with Realtor.ca, built a tiny house on wheels and taught myself everything needed to film the entire project and post it to social media, while gaining competency in certain areas of web development. Arriving here in Wasaga Beach in 2014, I found myself working for Beach1.com. I helped the owner grow his business to where it is today, eventually taking on the position of Managing Partner. I have partnered with my wife in her business MindShift Healing, rebranding her, building a new website from the ground up, and growing it to a 6 figure income. I started my own Certified Life Coaching practice which I've found I have a deep passion for, teaching my clients to live a life with purpose and find true happiness.
