ACE Consulting Group is a student run organization at the University of Waterloo that advises Startup companies in the Kitchener-Waterloo region.

Services we provide include Strategy, Market Research, Operation Improvement & Cost Analysis. Services we provide include Strategy, Market Research, and Financial Services. With a portfolio of over 60 companies, including winners of the Velocity Fund Finals, Dragon's Den alumni, and Y Combinator alumni, ACE has developed its team to exceed client expectations and establish itself as one of the best resources for Startups in the KW region.

This past term, ACE Consulting Group had the opportunity to collaborate with Feel Good Games, a Toronto-based game studio dedicated to creating educational and impactful children’s video games.

Our team worked closely with Feel Good Games to conduct customer discovery, market research, and competitive analysis, with a focus on understanding high-expectation users and evaluating industry best practices. Through customer and competitor analysis, we identified opportunities to strengthen product positioning, support user engagement, and help scale experiences that allow players to create, share, and explore stories together.

We’re excited to see Feel Good Games’ journey and are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to a future where creativity and joy are accessible to everyone!

Associate applications for ACE Consulting Group are officially open for the 2025-2026 academic year!

Join our team of consultants and gain the opportunity to provide consulting services to innovative startups and entrepreneurs across various industries, such as technology, fitness, and healthcare. Build technical and interpersonal skills alongside your team members while working on client deliverables and receiving mentorship from our alumni network.

As an Associate, you will support the team during client engagements and take on various leadership opportunities throughout the term. Applications are now live and can be found within the link in our bio. They are due on September 16th, 2025 at 11:59 PM.

Applicants are not required to have consulting experience, but a willingness to learn is essential. We welcome students from all years and programs to apply!

This past term, ACE Consulting Group had the great opportunity to work with Landscape Direct, an online gardening centre with a strong focus on sustainability, mindful living, and protecting the earth through building a passionate team of gardeners. The team had a great time exploring supply chains and partnerships in the online gardening space. We are excited to see what the future holds for Landscape Direct as they continue to grow and build their gardening community!

This winter, ACE Consulting Group had the pleasure of collaborating with Steadiwear, an innovator in adaptive technology that empowers individuals living with hand tremors through their groundbreaking glove.

Our team conducted market research, analyzed industry trends, and studied strategies from leading companies to provide tailored insights that align with Steadiwear’s vision and goals. We also worked closely with Steadiwear to craft a growth-focused plan in light of the Steadi-3 glove. We are excited to see the new heights Steadiwear will reach as they continue to transform the assistive technology space!
