The first time I heard the word "manifest" I was confused. How could I just sit there and make something happen? I tried it a few times, comfy in my office chair, trying to make the people who book speakers for conferences phone me. That was when I had no idea how to become successful, 22 years ago in fact.

It only took me a few weeks to understand the real meaning of manifesting. I wrote a few notes that would help me move forward.

1. Know your plan.
2. Set goals.
3. Write down the goals. Have a vision board on the wall.
4. Look at your goals every day.
5. Know that goals can be changed.
6. Have a sensible timeline.
7. Contact conference organizers.
8. Reply in a timely manner to emails, phone calls.
9. Network to gain a credible reputation and a memorable brand.
10. Share content.
11. Believe it can happen.
12. Never give up.
13. Continue to work, continue to believe, continue to work.

Manifesting is, in my opinion, a belief system that allows you to work towards your success. It is not a magic wand.
