Hire a Project Coordinator
First Kaska is the economic development corporation of the Liard First Nation. Located in Watson Lake, Yukon, First Kaska provides a range of construction, transportation and energy services to the public and private sector. Its mandate is to stimulate and sustain the local economy, provide jobs and training to Liard First Nations members, and encourage local investment in Watson Lake. First Kaska currently operates seven divisions.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Coordinator located in Watson Lake, Yukon. The Project Coordinator will assist in the management of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that they meet all specifications, requirements, and timelines. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Project/Operations Manager, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Qualifications
Project management skills, including planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and building codes.
Understanding of project budgets, financial forecasting, and risk management.
Technical proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
Construction Engineering Technology (CET) or equivalent experience in construction management, engineering, or related fields.
Experience in managing construction projects, preferably in multifamily & commercial.
Certifications in project management or construction management are an asset.
