Belarus ranks third in global production, behind Russia and Canada. Russian and Belarusian tonnes reach export markets by rail through a small number of ports.

The U.S. Embassy in Gabon sent a high-level delegation to the Banio Potash Project in September, including the Chargé d'Affaires.

They saw the drill programme, the feasibility study and the environmental and social impact work.
