Why this size?

When we started work on the Hornet we wanted to capture the spirit of what makes a mini-jet boat so fun without losing the luxuries we see in the full sized market. Mini-jets are fast, light, and have huge power-to-weight ratios but unfortunately many are also uncomfortable, featureless, and don't have the fit & finish we look for in a boat.

That's where the Hornet shines - at 14 feet, this boat is the best of both worlds! Equipped with all of the features a riverboat needs, we made sure that we didn't lose sight of our mission. The Hornet has the power, handling, and agility to get you anywhere - while having a lot of fun doing it!

Let's talk about our patented hull design!

Our Hornet Boats come with a 1/2" of UHMW on the bottom in order to ensure your safety and the protection of the vessel when running in shallow water. The problem with these coatings is that they need to be secured to the boat, generally by drilling through the hull. This means if you want to replace it, you can't add floatation foam to the interior of your hull or else you'll lose access to your fasteners making it's nearly impossible to add enough foam to meet Transport Canada's Construction Standards for Small Vessels (most jet builders don't).

This is NOT the case with the Hornet. Our patented hull design allows for easy replacement of the UHMW without requiring access to the interior of the hull which is covered in floatation foam.
