🚨 **County Towing Is Hiring — Full-Time Tow Truck Operator**
County Towing is seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join our team as soon as possible. This is a full-time, commission-based position with complete on-the-job training provided.
**What You’ll Do**
As a tow truck operator, your responsibilities will include:
* Safely loading, transporting, and unloading vehicles
* Properly securing vehicles and other loads using straps, chains, and related equipment
* Winching and recovering vehicles from ditches, snow, mud, and other difficult situations
* Responding to breakdowns, collisions, and roadside service calls
* Operating towing and recovery equipment safely and responsibly
* Completing basic inspections of the tow truck and equipment
* Accurately completing required paperwork and service documentation
* Communicating professionally and courteously with customers, emergency personnel, and other members of the public
* Working outdoors in varying weather and road conditions
**Position Requirements**
* Valid Class 5 driver’s license (non-GDL)
* Clean driver’s abstract
* Satisfactory criminal record check
* Willingness to work scheduled day and night shifts
* Air Brake (Q) Endorsement is an asset but not required
* General mechanical knowledge would be beneficial
* No previous towing experience is necessary but would be considered an asset—we will provide training
Day-shift operators must remain at the County Towing office during regular office hours when not responding to calls. Night-shift operators may remain at the office or be on call from a residence located within a 15-minute drive of Westlock.
The first three months of employment will be considered a probationary period. An in-house operator evaluation will be completed at the end of probation and every three months thereafter. Following a successful evaluation, the possibility of a guaranteed compensation arrangement may be discussed.
