Theatre seats are being installed ✨A huge thank you to Young Fellows Club of Weyburn for rolling up your sleeves and helping with the installation. We truly appreciate your support!

Credit Union Spark Cinema is a community owned theatre, built by Weyburn, for Weyburn. Local businesses, families and volunteers have carried this project for years, and it’s wonderful to see it all coming together.

We have under $300,000 left to raise. Your gift helps bring the magic of the movies back to Weyburn, for the families, friends, and future generations who will fill these seats for years to come.

Sometimes it’s nice to have somewhere to go where you can grab a coffee or snack, visit with some familiar faces, meet someone new, and just get out of the house for a couple hours.

So… we’re starting In Good Company!

A super casual, come-and-go evening for women to get together, have a visit, and enjoy some good company. No membership, no agenda, no pressure!

Each month we have a space reserved and a low key optional activity planned to help make the evening smooth and welcoming!

Whether you’ve lived here your whole life, just moved to the area, or are somewhere in between, come on out. Bring a friend, bring your kiddos, come by yourself, stay for a little while or stay the whole evening.

📍 Creelman Hall
🗓️ First Tuesday of every month starting OCTOBER 6 2026!
⏰ 6:30–8:30 PM

We’d love to see you there! 💕
Come as you are. Come for a visit. Come for the company.

It’s October! 🍂

Which means it is time to announce our two holiday productions!

This year we will be doing two short holiday shows:

The 1938 Orson Welles Radio Play “A Christmas Carol” directed by Jessica Hunter, sound design by Syd Schultz and Costume Design by Jody Ramsay.

And “Gift of the Magi” written and directed by Wendy Sidloski with music accompaniment by Syd Schultz.

Rehearsals will be on Thursday evenings with a few Tuesdays towards the end of November.

Show dates are December 3 & 4 at the Tommy Douglas Centre.

“A Christmas Carol” has a cast of 10+, while “A Gift of the Magi” has a cast of 5 with carollers on both sides of the stage. “A Christmas Carol” has optional singing roles as well.

Please note: The radio play will be read from books so memorization of lines is not necessary.

If you are interested in joining these productions (and doing your best Bah Humbug!) mark your calendars for auditions on Oct 22 at 7:00pm at the Tommy Douglas Performing Arts Centre.

No need to prepare any audition materials, we will be doing group read throughs of the play and a quick group music exercise for those interested in taking musical parts.

If you would like any more information or have questions, feel free to reach out!
