Another Express Entry draw is here — and while the CRS score increased slightly, there’s also an important positive sign: more invitations were issued this round 👀🍁

Compared to the previous CEC draw on April 28, 2026:
➡️ CRS increased from 514 to 518
➡️ ITAs increased from 2,000 to 3,000

💥 What this could mean:

The new “33,000 workers” initiative is NOT a brand-new PR pathway. It mainly helps workers who had already applied through existing programs and are already in the system.

For many temporary residents waiting for a real opportunity, this feels disappointing. But this is NOT the end of the road. 🇨🇦

🚨 BC PNP ELSS STREAM UPDATE 🚨

📅 April 23, 2026 — Official program changes announced

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶-𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 (𝗘𝗟𝗦𝗦) 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱.

📌 Key updates:
• The last invitations were issued on December 10, 2024
• All ELSS registrations are being removed from the pool
• The stream will soon be fully removed from the BC PNP system and Program Guide

💥 What this means:
The ELSS pathway is no longer available for selection, and candidates previously relying on this stream will need to 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 under BC PNP or other programs.

⚠️ This change especially impacts employers and workers in:
• Hospitality
• Tourism
• Entry-level and semi-skilled occupations

Many of these roles previously depended on ELSS as a pathway to permanent residence.

• Reassess your current immigration pathway options
• Explore other BC PNP Skills Immigration streams
• Review alternative Canadian immigration programs that may apply to your profile or employees
