Tuesday Truth - Family law and having your day in court. The reality is that you will spend very little (if any) time in front of a judge. Discussions, arguments, negotiation and agreements happen outside of the court process.
Consider whether emotions, which are often the defense for positions, are relevant in a court of LAW. Being in the family court system is about the law, it is not about hurt feelings, proving right or wrong or having your day in court.

Courts are backlogged and decisions aren’t being made. Promoting and participating in MEDIATION in the early stages can go a long way to showing your client that you understand the stress that delays cost.
